I just woke up and had to pee. While I was peeing I came to the realization that in about two months Lalla and I are going to be riding up in Minn/Wisc together on some of the most epic, beautiful, "this is why I ride a bike" rides we've ever been on. In the mean time, I'm going back to sleep.
This pic is from one of my favorite races last year. It's the crit in Stillwater-the last stage of the Nature Valley Grand Prix. I couldn't do the PROOOOO race so this is the Amateur 1/2 race. My friend Cayman caught on film the moment I went to the front and drew out a group of five guys-four of which stuck it in a breakaway. I got 4th and it was still to this day the hardest 60 minutes of my life.
Also, my mom got a whole year older TODAY! Happy birthday, Mom! I got these legs from you. Thanks for everything!!!
